A comprehensive course for boaties with some existing knowledge and experience. Applies to a wide range of vessels including yachts, launches and powerboats

Aim

 To gain essential boating knowledge

Duration

 30 hours, followed by a written and oral examination

Qualification

 NZ Boatmaster Certificate. Unit Standard 6914 available

 Day Skipper recommended

Classroom Study - $495.00 (workbooks, admin, assessment, course fees, study texts, and/or navigation equipment included)

Home Study - $335.00 (workbooks, admin, assessment, course fees, study texts, and/or navigation equipment included)
