Our stats for January are as follows: Volunteer hours 213.25 and 677 calls logged.A huge thanks to all for the hours you put in over this period.

During the month we had two events on the lake involving Nav Warnings. State Insurance Epic Swim 11-12 Jan and NZ Off Shore Power Boats and Hydroplanes 25-26 Jan.The weather did intervene with the Hydroplanes again this year however a demo was able to be run in front of the Yacht Club on the Sunday afternoon.

 “MARINER ONE” Our Coastguard Radio Caravan was launched on the hard at Taupo Marina on Saturday 25 January. It was a great success and well received by the public and boaties. Many thanks to the Harbourmaster for the giveaways provided for the launch.

Our best wishes go to “No Salt” one of our operators as he undergoes a knee replacement in February. We wish him a speedy recovery and return to the Airways.
