More Power, Better Handling, Lighter, Better Economy

CRV Taupo Rescue now has two brand new Yamaha 300HP engines. The improvement to the performance and handling of our main rescue vessel following the commissioning of these engines is quite amazing and has enabled us to become even more efficient at 'Saving Lives on The Great Lake'.  

They are also much lighter, CRV Taupo Rescue now sits about 10cm further out of the water at the wharf. The only things not happy about that is the local ducks now unable to get up on the duckboard to build their nests!

Every Coastguard Lake Taupo volunteer is eager to get behind the wheel and take her for a test drive, especially after one volunteer described it as "bloody awesome!".
